Maruti Suzuki India, the nation’s largest automotive maker, reported a decline of 1.1 p.c in year-on-year numbers by promoting 1.08 lakh models in July, although it grew by 88.2 p.c on month-on-month foundation.
The marginal year-on-year degrowth was led by decline in gross sales in compact (WagonR, Swift, Dzire and many others), mid-size (Ciaz) and vans (Eeco) segments, however progress was pushed by mini (Alto, S-Presso), utility autos (Ertiga, Vitara Brezza, S-Cross and many others) and light-weight industrial autos segments.
